Copied, wildly. Matched, never. Recommended, always. There’s only one original lace thong, and we make it. The Original Rise Thong was born in NYC in 1986 and has been keeping generations of women comfortable for decades with its ultra-soft stretch lace, flattering fit, and nearly-naked feel. It’s the reason we’re known as the makers of the World’s Most Comfortable Thong®.

The Thong. The myth. The legend.

It’s Original Rise, aka the 4811. Our iconic Signature Lace Original Rise Thong was born in 1986 when one of our founders, Gale Epstein, did the impossible by creating a thong that is actually comfortable. So soft, perfectly stretchy, and incomparably flattering— it’s the World’s Most Comfortable Thong® for a reason. Feel it, wear it, never look back (except, to admire your booty).

Anatomy of the World’s Most Comfortable Thong®

1. Signature Lace: Feels as good as it looks and has an accommodating stretch that moves with you. NB* Our laces are “relaxed” by unrolling them and letting them lay for 24 hours before any cutting takes place.

2. Gusset: a.k.a. the crotch lining – we give you what you need with longer and wider gussets and use only the best quality SUPIMA® Cotton to keep you comfortable

3. V-Waistband: our signature V-front and V-back waistband hugs you just right for an always-flattering fit

Craftsmanship
We take great care in every step of the process - from lace knitting to seam stitching. Our Signature Lace is knitted, dyed, and finished in the U.S. We are proud that 75% of our products are completely sewn in the New York and Philadelphia area and 95% of our laces are knitted in the Northeast and dyed on the East Coast.
